Students in Year 7 were given the chance to connect with one of the world's leading IT specialists in the Kids in IT virtual event held by CISCO with schools across the UK. Inspired by a day learning about Cisco’s take on the ‘Internet of Everything’, a hyper-connected world of devices in an internet-like structure, the students were split into teams. Each group was given 20 minutes to plan, and five minutes to present their ideas to a panel of Dragons – including how much money their product would cost and how they would market their product.

Considering the short time frame and the openness of the question, the quality of the ideas produced was remarkable. App innovations had to include an AI element and some ideas included travel apps, virtual shopper apps and mental health apps. Below are some photos from the event.
